MJ. William on Jun 04, 2018. Put Goo Gone on the tape residue. Let is set for a while. Then use something plastic like a credit credit card to scrape it off. Wipe off the glue with more Goo Gone. Do not use any solvents on it. Can dissolve/melt the plastic. Deb K on Jun 04, 2018.
Tea Tree Oil. Hair Spray. Baby Oil (mineral oil) Vinegar (soak cloth, apply then leave for 30 minutes) Rubbing Alcohol. Windex / Window Cleaner. Baking Soda & Water Paste (just rub in then wipe off with a wet cloth) Goo Gone. Once the gooey mess has been removed, wash the surface with soap and water to remove any leftover gunk.
There are a few ways to remove film from prescription glasses. One way is to use a microfiber cloth and some lens cleaner. Spray a small amount of lens cleaner onto the microfiber cloth and then gently wipe the lenses in a circular motion. Another way is to use a cotton ball and some rubbing alcohol. Soak the cotton ball in the rubbing alcohol
Gather into a pouch and strip off the film completely. Then carefully pull the masking film from the corners toward the middle of the sheet, forming a kind of pouch with the film. This has the advantage that dirt and dust remain on the film for the most part and so do not soil the material. Finally, pull the film off the sheet completely.

Jun 14, 2009. #3. should come loose with some heat but don't use too much heat as may damage the paint. you may well end up with some glue residue on the paint some white spirit or paint thinners will remove the glue but don't rub too hard as you could end up damaging the paintwork. Brian.
